Hey folks, just wanted to throw this out there and see how everyone else is feeling about the gods system lately. I’ve been messing around with different divine lineages in Gods’ Quest (Nikeagames), and honestly, I can’t decide which one I am ruthlessly loyal to.
My Current Picks & Struggles
Right now I’m leaning toward the Storm-Wind lineage (y’know, the thunder + tempest vibe), because I like the idea of blowing opponents off the map. But I end up in a weird spot mid-game: do I stack damage buffs or defensive resistances? I tried pushing full glass cannon once and got wrecked by a sneak ambush. I literally did a facepalm in real life and almost dropped my coffee.
Then I tried the Stone-Forge lineage thinking “okay, I’ll be the tank god” — and it works, but it feels too slow sometimes. In a heated PvP match last night, I was barely getting off one heavy hit by the time the enemy’s already doing combo hell on me.
So I’m left stuck switching back and forth depending on the map, enemy lineup, and mood which feels tedious.
What I Want from the Lineages
Here’s what I wish for (maybe devs are listening?):
More b* ranching skills mid-lineage (so I can pivot late game).
-
A lineage that rewards creativity (not just spamming same combo).
-
Some kind of “hybrid” path that mixes offense + utility (i.e. crowd control) without getting weak.
-
Better visual flair — every time I pick lineages I hope for more dramatic animations.
Poll Time: What’s Your Go-To God Lineage?
I want to see what people actually use, not what sounds cool:
Storm-Wind * (tempest / speed / damage)
-
Stone-Forge (defense / sustainability)
-
Spirit-Veil (buffs / utility / healing)
-
Chaos-Blood (risky high reward)
-
Hybrid path (if you mix any two)
Also: how do you decide mid-match if you want to switch builds (if possible)? Do you commit early or stay flexible?
On another note – totally random side: I’ve got a friend who’s in nursing school and sometimes complains about writing huge projects. She’s always begging, “nursing coursework writing service” suggestions so she can spend more time gaming. I tell her to get good—just kidding. But anyway, I hope the devs add a “scribe god” lineage so she’ll stop whining.
Alright, I’ll shut up now. Let’s hear your favorite gods and strategy stories. May your divine picks carry you to epic wins!
