Throne Conquest Update Announcement

Hello, today, I am going to tell you my lords about the future plans.

There are still many features to come in the future.

Arena where you can earn items and XPs with the heroes you have. Improving trading kingdoms by specializing villages and specialties of them. A political system where you can vote the server president. There are lots of features we announced we would implement.

All the features I just mentioned are very good features to make strategy games more enjoyable, and among them, we have chosen the Throne Conquest as the first feature to implement.

Hmm… this was not an easy decision, since we are in a step where we need to prepare marketing and plans to attract new users, and at the same time, we have to update new things to enjoy once in every 2 weeks.

It sure is risky to attempt implementing such a big feature in a time like this. However, we have to implement this feature now.

Ever since we delayed updating new features which would become an objective in the gameplay… the high-ranked players who played the game most enthusiastically were stranded in the far west for years…

Throne Conquest will make it profitable to move to the far west. It will be one of the key systems that handle the game balance along with the earthquake system.

That is, this is more than a feature that high-ranked players can enjoy.

Throne Conquest is a feature that allows guild leaders to become the owner of each world.

Once you become an owner, you will be granted with the absolute right to adjust the trading tax, chances of Great Chasm creation, respawn rate of Chasms, and Tavern revisiting rate.

It is like a Great Temple for an entire world where you can adjust many things other than the tax.

It is very simple to become an owner. If a guild eliminates the NPC in the Capital of Frontier, the guild leader of the attacker will be the owner. And the owner will rule the world until they get overthrown by other guild.

Of course, if you make a poor owner, the lords in the world you are managing will attempt to overthrow. As you manage your own world, you have to beware the lords who want to rule your world. We are currently planning to make the battles in the frontier as strategic as we can.

Mmm… the details are not set yet but I will explain the new feature as much as possible.

Earthquakes move strong players to the kingdoms in the west. Up until now, there was no merit in being moved to the west, but from now on, it is very likely that it will be very profitable to move to the west, since it is easier to move to the frontier in the west.

Once Throne Conquest gets updated, you will see the button in the beginning of each world which will allow you to move to the frontier. And it will take 8 hours to move to the frontier in the first kingdom.

In the frontier exists Mountain Olympus where the owner rules the world. And high-ranked players will be able to fight for the absolute right.

There are 9 frontiers. The 8 frontiers are the frontiers for the worlds and the frontier in the center is the place where the owner of the server will be residing. And the center frontier will be linked to every other frontier.

In a world, you can move to the frontier of that specific world, which means you cannot travel to a frontier that is in another world. You can only advance to the frontier in your world.

All the lords who are in a guild can move their legions to the frontier to occupy one of the 30 points. Since the frontier is near the first kingdom, it will take less resources to deliver resources and units to the frontier.

As I mentioned earlier, the time it takes to move the frontier plays an important role; that is because of the frontier advancement penalty.

When you send a legion to the frontier, they will not stay intact on the way to the frontier. When a legion moves to the frontier, the army of underworld attack the legion in accordance with the peace of the world, and the more time it takes, the more they will attack the legion.

Therefore, a legion who advances to the frontier may lose most of their units before they reach the point in the frontier. The degree of peace and the time to travel determine the possible loss of resources.

In addition, this applies the same when delivering units to a point that is occupied by you, you will want to take the capital as soon as possible and start the policy to increase the public peace. Once the peace prevails, you will lose less resources and units.

Speaking of the capital where you can adjust the peace, I will explain about the capital.

This is not an actual map, we made this to help you understand the concept.

There is the capital in the center of the map, two bases, and about 30 points.

Not from a kingdom can you move to the capital or a base directly; you need to move from a point first. And from there, you can attack the capital and bases through the ways. This is a map that shows that.

Points do not produce resources like Great Temples or Dominions. You have to deliver resources and units to use them in the points. And actually, a point has no other purpose than having forces in it. But since the attacks can be done only through the ways between each point, you need to occupy the critical points where they can lead you to important points.

There are three paths that is connected to the outside of the map; through the paths, you can move to the center, left, or right. This means that you can move to the frontier of the 2nd world or the 8th world from the frontier of the 1st world.

The center is connected with every frontier. Of course, until the server owner feature gets implemented, it is not possible to enter the center. The center can be a very important place in the future.

Anyway, all the 8 frontiers have the capital in the center. And the one who dominates the capital can start the policies that will adjust the balance of the world like doing quests. There will be 3 Policy Quests per week for each occupied capital, and with the rewards you will be able to adjust the balance.

And the policy quests will require tax. There will be as much tax as the temple owners collect from their kingdom. You must have been wondering where the other half of tax were going so far. They have been being stored in the vault of capital.

The tax can be freely used by the guild, and there will be some quests where you can use the tax for the sake of your own guild, not the world.

Moreover, the chatting UI will include icons that indicate the position of each user, which will inform the users of who is in charge and make the guild who is in charge proud of it.

We are planning to make it more profitable to have the capital occupied than empty. Firstly, once the capital is taken by a user, the public sentiment will go up by 50% and the trade profit will also be increased by 50%.

As the tax rate, public peace, and public sentiment differ from world to world, some worlds will prosper in terms of economy whereas the others do not.

A world with high public sentiment will be a great place to trade and a world with low public peace can be a great place to fight.

As a guild can occupy all the capitals, some guilds might attempt to do that.

For example, a guild can increase the public sentiment of worlds where their trade kingdoms are, and in the others, they can decrease the public peace so that Chasms respawn more frequently. They will be able to adjust all that the way they please.

Of course, they can increase the tax rate of the worlds where they do not have dominions and decrease the public peace, so that the worlds they reside in will prosper.

And some quests will allow you to exile an infamous bandit which will give benefit to your world and penalty to all the other worlds.

Throne Conquest is a system where guilds can adjust the balance the way they please. High-ranked players can write new history with this feature.

To explain more about battles, when attacking or defending a point, legions from dominions will participate in them.

Since there is no other method to move to the frontier other than moving to the frontier from the world or moving to the other points through the paths, it is necessary to know who are in the west and the paths and legions of points.

Except for bases and capital, all the battles will take place without rampart. Therefore, you need to consider formation and geography.

Mmm… many things can be revised in the development process, but the main concept is like this. Earthquake, Great Temple, and Guild Quests – we now think that we have enough skeleton ready for new features. And we think that it would be safer to adjust balance by implementing Throne Conquest first prior to specializing trade kingdoms.

Ah… the most important thing… when it will be implemented…

We are seeing 3 to 5 months for now, without any critical issue along the way.

Mmm… as we cannot not write new stories, do new updates or events, or attract new users. And there will be many bugs that need to be fixed. So we will inform you of schedule when we come up with one.
