I’m curious about something. My 2015 A8 has a slow buildup of debris in the valve body according to the scan tool readings, but no hard failures yet. One shop I called in Abu Dhabi mentioned they use some newer cleaning technology that doesn’t require full disassembly. They said they’re doing Innovative Transmission Service Abu Dhabi with specialized flushing equipment that cleans the entire hydraulic circuit. I’ve always been skeptical of flushes because I heard they can do more harm than good on older transmissions. But this sounds different from the basic power flushes that shops used to do. Has anyone actually tried one of these advanced cleaning procedures on a ZF 8-speed? Did it help with rough shifts or did it make things worse? I don’t want to be a guinea pig but I also don’t want to pay for a full rebuild if a less invasive option exists.
