Although we are currently busy developing the Throne Conquest, we thought we should announce the future plans after the implementation of Throne Conquest.
There are already many features we announced such as better trade kingdoms, but we chose the coup system as the next feature to implement.
A guild is a fruit of community, so to speak. It provides users with powerful buffs and forms a group of people sharing the same interest.
Once you join a good guild, you can grow faster and easier with the buffs and trade kingdoms, and furthermore, members can help you defend your dominions.
However, the truth is, guilds tend to maximize the effectiveness of the buffs, and so we could not avoid the situation where strong players gather in a single guild.
And there also has been an issue that as the amount of the invested resources increased, the power of the guild leader increased too, which could be abused at any moment.
A guild leader has been able to kick out any member regardless of the amount of the loyalty points. And there has been no way to fight the leader back when the members did not like his or her policy.
And because of those reasons, there have been many system suggestions asking for a system where members can vote to kick the leader. And some also showed their anxiety saying that the current system where one single guild can dominate all the others is not so favorable in terms of the game balance.
And we came to a conclusion that we needed a new system in order to resolve the issue where members could not leave the guild and make a new guild because they would lose their entire loyalty points and all the investment they made so far.
And that is the coup system.
Up until now, guilds invited high-ranked neutral lords and if they did not accepted their offer, they regarded those neutral players as their enemies and bombarded them. However, once the coup system gets implemented, guilds will now worry that the lords they invited might be spies who are plotting to start a coup.
The coup system will work this way:
Guild members will be able to start a coup using Diamonds.
Once one starts to plot a coup, one becomes the leader of the coup and gets to choose the name and symbol for the new guild and write the purpose of the coup, 80 characters at tops.
And after one has finished the preparation phase, a message containing the new name and the purpose of the coup is sent incognito to the members selected by the coup leader. And those members can either accept or deny the coup within the time frame of 24 hours.
There is minimum requirement for the number of agreeing members, which is a fifth of the members for the 1st ranked guild; a fourth of the members for 2nd to 3rd guilds; a third for 4th to 10th; a half for the guilds below 11th.
And if the coup gets enough members to start the coup and the coup leader is still in the guild after the 24 hours, the coup goes live.
That is, if the requirement is not satisfied or the coup leader gets kicked out beforehand, the coup won’t go live.
Once the coup goes live, there will be a new guild.
The old guild where the coup occurred will have all its buildings destroyed and the price – the resources and the gems – of the buildings is given back to its storage, while the statues will remain.
The old guild will receive a portion of the resources proportionately to the loyalty points of the leader of the old guild against the sum of the loyalty points of all the members.
And the new guild will also have a portion of the resources proportionately to the loyalty points of the new leader in their storage.
And the members still remaining in the old guild gets temporarily disconnected from the game and kicked out of the guild.
And it causes all the legions in the military points to return to the main dominion.
And once they reconnect to the game, they get to choose between the old guild and the new guild.
As soon as a member chooses a guild, the member will have his or her loyalty points back and the selected guild will have resources proportionately to the amount of the member’s loyalty points.
That is, the resources, acquired from the destruction of the buildings, get redistributed in accordance of the balance of the share of the loyalty points.
This is the final step of a coup and a guild has been separated into two.
There is still a problem that they two need to construct buildings from scratch but since they have the resources, it is just matter of time.
And most of all, if there were no penalty to a coup, it is no less or no more than a peaceful separation.
A coup has to be a disaster to a guild leader who failed to administrate the guild well.
Guild leaders won’t be able to abuse their power as it has been so far. And they will seek for unity and listen to their members to prevent coups from happening.
Guilds have been immortal as long as the leader did not quit but from this point, it will be more like a country that is liable to collapse at any moment.
This is just a draft of the coup system; revisions can be made to this on the course of development.
Should you have any good suggestion or idea, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could inform us via mails, in-game inquiries, or posts on the forum.
