Manual setup or use the optimism bridge for ETH transactions

I’ve been working on this for about three days now. Manually setting it up every time is like starting my homework from scratch. I’m trying to transfer ETH between networks, and every guide contradicts the previous one. Maybe the Optimism bridge is a more reasonable solution, or am I missing something?

Honestly, I spent an inordinate amount of time on this last winter. I tried four different manual setups and was constantly hit with unexpected fees at the most inopportune moments. The whole process felt like it was designed to wear you down and make you give up, if you know what I mean.

I saved myself the headache of almost sending money to the wrong address because I underestimated how fickle the Optimism network can be when configured manually. Using a bridge really does eliminate this risk. For example, you can check the information here https://defiway.com/bridges/bridge-eth-optimism-ethereum It’s worth noting that fees on the Optimism network have remained unusually low this spring compared to the past six months, making now the perfect time to transfer ETH.
